Tenerife - Azores
non stop
San Miguel Tenerife to Ponta Delgada Azores
820 nm, departure July 14, arrival July 22 (appr.)
Why this last minute opportunity?
Our Lanzarote school boat Miles Ahead was meant to be heading to the Azores this week, ready for me to jump on board for the fully booked return trip via Madeira starting July 26. But we sailors are often dependent on factors we can't control— her summer refit is taking longer than expected and she’ll be tied up for another three weeks.
The good news? I’ve found a solid replacement boat, fully equipped for this challenging passage and based in Tenerife. We meet on Saturday July 12, use Sunday as a training day and depart on the 14th.

Jeanneau SO 43 Decksaloon
This comfortable yacht with excellent seagoing capacities is British commercial registered, so she carries all the mandatory safety equipment.
4 cabins, 2 heads below deck. The inmast furling mainsail makes sail handling easy and safe.

Weather
The strong summer Northeasterly in the Canaries will make the first half of the passage fast (and tough). Getting closer to the Azores (high) we can expect conditions becoming lighter.
Being able to work and live in rough ocean conditions is a must.

For whom and Prices
Great opportunity for those who need miles towards the Yachmaster Offshore exam or are looking for a Yachtmaster Ocean qualifying passage.
PRICE? since it is such short notice, contact me and we will make it happen.
