Once your airplane is flying over the island, you will get a flavour of the beauty of Lanzarote and the Atlantic Ocean. RYA sailing school

We chose Marina Lanzarote because:

  • One of the Calero Marinas, Marina Lanzarote is the newest marina in the Canary Islands that offers great facilities, a state of the art gym overlooking the ocean, and with swimming pool;

  • The marina is large and provides space to practice various mooring and berthing situations under power and sail;

  • It also provides for an interesting pilotage experience, especially at night, as it is part of a commercial shipping port.

We chose Arrecife because:

  • It is an authentic Canarian town with a wide variety of restaurants, music festivals, culture, and a stunning beach;

  • The very charming fishermen's bay, El Charco de San Gines, is a five minute walk from the marina and filled with tapas cafes and restaurants to enjoy after a long day of sailing.

The Canarian island of Lanzarote is not only unique in its natural beauty but it also: sailing school canary islands

  • Has several marinas and anchorages that we will sail to which are just a few nautical miles distance from each other, giving you an opportunity to experience multiple port entry with plenty of time to practice all skills;

  • Gives you the chance to discover one of Europe's well hidden gems: the stunning island of Isla La Graciosa, which is just around the corner from, less than half a day’s sail away;

  • Has steady winds year-round, averaging 15 knots with moderate sea-state;

  • A quiet and relaxing atmosphere, with stunning nature, and some breath-taking hiking trails for those interested;

  • An easily accessible and cheap destination by plane from most parts of the world.

The volcanic archipelago of the Canary Islands offers a unique experience on many levels, including:

  • Eternal spring! Temperatures here vary between 18 and 26 degrees year round;

  • A chance to watch exceptional sea wildlife: we see dolphins, whales, turtles, sting rays and more;

  • A great area for mile-building and passage making;

  • The opportunity to experience proper ocean sailing;

  • A variety of islands to visit, each unique in its own way.
