Andy Williams - Yachtmaster Instructor
Andy is not only a friend but we consider him one of the best RYA Yachtmaster Instructors around. He has now joined Atlantic Sailing to pass on his knowledge to sailors young and old.
Andy has been sailing since he was 8 years old, and spent his teenage years racing in the Solent, competing in the Fastnet race 3 times, and delivering boats between the Solent and the Canaries. After sailing some 40,000 miles he took his Yachtmaster exam a couple of days after his 18th birthday. Shortly afterwards he became a Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail).
Since then Andy has become a Yachtmaster Instructor (Motor) and Advanced Powerboat Instructor and an Examiner for the RYA and MCA in Sailing, Motor Cruising and Powerboating. More recently he has also become a trainer of Instructors.
When not sailing on his own boat Andy still loves teaching: whether it is introducing new sailors with a Competent Crew course, or preparing them for their Yachtmaster - and is really excited to be teaching in the Canaries once again.
